Steven Colbert with Andrew Keen

I was a flower child, Mz.Anti-Establishment with a policewoman's mind. I've always been a walking contradiction and readily admit it.I'd run from the political rhetoric and so forth. I'd run like hell till recently. Is it maturity? Who the hell knows? But banter is healthy and my minuscule issues or points of view are changing. I saw this and would normally over look it, the program and so on. But I'd just love your opinion on this. I thought Steven Colbert, made him look like a real asshole. I enjoyed that. What do you think?

Colbert did make him look like a dope, even though he had a couple of good points, especially about the way people get their information. The art thing? Meh. Maybe art should all be free. What in the hell is so noble about Colbert's making $$$ because advertisers support his program? There are a zillion other funny guys who won't make a dime because of no connections or whatever. Has nothing to do with their comedy being stolen by teh internetz.

I can't imagine life without the Internet, never has information (good, bad, or indifferent) been so accessible. Anything you want to know is a few keystrokes away and you don’t even have to get out of your pajamas to get it. Art is not always art to the person who created it, the collector of antiquities sees an item as art, but the creator just wanted a clay pot to carry water in. I’ve also enjoyed the writings may many amateurs on the Internet, but I don’t think everyone wants to write the next great American novel, some people just enjoy putting down thoughts on paper and if a few others take pleasure from it that’s all that is required to make the author happy.

Stupid people don't like new shit. This is because a stupid person is like a dog watching a rathole. If a rat comes out, the dog barks. If something unexpected comes out, such as an iguana, the dog whines and slinks and cringes. The internet is a rilly big iguana, and nobody predicted it.

I notice this particular slinking dog doesn't mind selling his book on Amazon. Possibly he is not stupid at all, and merely crafty.

Miz UV, have some Mish Mash Soup, on me. It's quite likened to that, the good the bad and the ugly. I look at how far we've come, goo and bad. Hopefully the good outweighs the bad, right?

AZCG, I agree wholeheartedly with you. As I said to Miz Uv, we can only hope the good outweighs the bad. But that is a synopsis of life, is it not?

Archer, you do have a good point. I'd not thought about the fact that he has the book on Amazon.com. What a poser, huh?

It's ok if he sells his book on Amazon, just not if one of us posts it for free download. I'm sure he'd be ok with us photocopying it though, because the copy machine, unlike the Internet, is not an evil technology. ;) I love blogging, because I'm too fucking lazy to get myself an agent and sell my writing. I like writing, people like reading, it's all good.

I would untie my tubes to have Stephen Colbert's babies -- I love that man.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm enjoying yours.

MPJ, gotta agree with you. Only bad thing about having a Colbert baby is what if he inherits his ears? They are cute, huh? I bet he was a little shit, when he was a kid, ya know?
